And if Punta Perdiz is so appreciated by divers, it is for its magnificent coral reef, only a hundred meters from the beach!

Getting to Punta Perdiz
Punta Perdiz is located about 8 kilometers from the village of Playa Giron.
You can easily get there by bike.
If you are not very good cyclists, you can also take a cab.
Punta Perdiz is also 18 kilometers from Playa Larga.
The hotels of Playa Giron and Playa Larga also offer excursions: don’t hesitate to ask for information.
If you are staying in Cienfuegos, it is possible to make a round trip to Punta Perdiz during the day.
The Cubanacan and Havanatur agencies offer excursions in the vicinity of the city.
If you prefer to go by yourself, you can also rent a cab for the day.
For about 60 CUC, it will take you to the Cueva de los Peces, Playa Giron and Punta Perdiz.
Day trips to the Bay of Pigs are also organized from Varadero.
We highly recommend this trip to discover the Zapata Peninsula.
It includes a visit to Guama, as well as a stop in Punta Perdiz for relaxation and snorkeling.
Pick-up directly at the hotel, snorkeling equipment, lunch and drinks are also included in the excursion.
The plus: cancellation is free (full refund) up to 24 hours before the activity.
What to do in Punta Perdiz
To enter Punta Perdiz, you will have to pay 15 CUC.
It’s not cheap, but for this price, you will have access to a buffet for lunch and unlimited drinks.
On the program: snorkeling, diving, sunbathing and volleyball! There is a diving center on site
where you can book your sea excursions or rent equipment.
There are also deckchairs available on the beach.
Sportsmen will certainly appreciate the volleyball court!
Sleeping in Punta Perdiz
There is no tourist accommodation in Punta Perdiz itself.
You can stay in Playa Giron or Playa Larga, or you can go there and back in the day from Cienfuegos.
However, be warned, neither Playa Giron nor Playa Larga have the charm of the Cuban way of life.
The hotels are all big soviet type buildings, sad to cry.
On our side, we preferred to visit Punta Perdiz from Cienfuegos
